About

Just after Christmas we took ourselves over to Tasmania to visit my family down in Hobart. Traveling with the two little ones means we have a lot of ‘stuff’ to bring with us so we decided it would be best to take our car and journey over on The Spirit of Tasmania.

The boat trip itself turned out to be ok considering we took the 9 hour day sailing with not much to do on board other than sit around in our cabin and venture out every now and then to eat or go for a little wander. I was mentally high-fiving us all when we arrived in Devonport for making it through without too many melt downs.
We spent that first night in Launceston then drove to Hobart the next morning.
We had such a good time in Hobart. Our stay was filled with family lunches and dinners, a fishing trip, a cricket match, the Taste of Tasmania, Salamanca Market, catching up with old friends, sleepless and restless nights (thanks Zac), fireworks watching and lots of joy as we entered into the New Year.

I have so much love for those we spent our days with there and wish we could have stayed longer. I think we will have to go back again sometime soon.
