We threw a little party for Seb a couple of weeks ago for his 1st birthday. It was fairly low key with just our family and a few close friends who came to celebrate with us over a lunch of pumpkin and potato and leek soup and chicken sandwiches. My gorgeous friend Ashlee made Seb’s chocolate smash cake (which you would have seen me eating afterwards if you follow me on Instagram). It was such an exciting moment for us to watch Seb get stuck into that cake and really enjoy it as Zac wouldn’t even touch his when he turned one.
The decorations were fairly simple with just some bunches of leaves placed in vases here and there along with a #1 wreath which I made out of bent coat hangers and leaves and flowers. I also set up the boys’ teepee and had animal masks for the kiddos to play with along with a couple of giant balloons.
It was a really nice afternoon which we will have fond memories of in the years to come.
